Jain Caves

We visited the Bhubaneshwar Jain Caves in 2007 and I was astounded by the apparent maturity of the complex that climbs across two hillsides across the valley. And two learn that it was in decline already two thousand years ago it just a hint of their antiquity and the implicit complexity of the community that lived there. Plus the Hanuman monkeys climbing your back to get the peanuts that are sold in little newspaper rolls are cute.
